In an effort to provide independent analysis of this technology –
HGI Industries, Inc. hired Safety Performance Solutions, Inc. (SPSI) to set up testing of its Odorox™
units to show:
1.) Effectiveness of Odorox™
to eliminate the toughest bacteria, mold & virus’s
2.) Test any residual Output of the Odorox™
products and to provide a summary of the tests.
ATS Labs of Eagan, MN, was the chosen laboratory for this study due to its reputation in the business and its expertise and experience in testing products to support disinfectant claims by product developers and manufactures. ATS Labs has been providing these services for nearly 20 years, with many of their services being designed to support EPA product registrations and FDA 510(K) submissions.
1.) Effective Elimination: The following bacteria were selected to be tested on stainless steel & cotton surfaces as a representative of an entire group of microorganisms . If the tests proved successful, similar results would be expected on less resistant forms.
Medical: Staphylocccus aureus – MRSA and Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Food Services: Escherichia coli (E. coli)
Mold: Aspergillus niger
The following tests were conducted and the results tracked in 4, 8, 12 hour increments or 3 & 6 until a full kill was established (99%). The MDU machine was used to perform the tests and prove the ability of the Odorox™
Technology to kill some of the toughest reference organisms in the various industries. Please let us know if you have questions in regard to these tests.
Final Test Results
2.) Residual Output: Columbia Analytical Services of Simi Valley, CA were selected because of their experience in emission testing for the state of California whose standards are the highest in the US. Their report showed there were no emissions remaining.
